Bathhouses were initially places for gay men to come together and enjoy their sexuality without having to hide or feel ashamed of their natural choices. They were  places of solidarity and fun. In the age of Grindr and instant gratification, they have become an extension of a social media frenzy, offering a quick fix. However, they still promote personal contact (physical and emotional), as well as the opportunity for the queer community to get together and celebrate love.

The Sauna Session took place at the Alexander Sauna in central Athens taking over 5 floors.
International artists and filmmakers including SLAVA MOGUTIN, ARON KANTOR, RAFAEL PEREZ EVANS, ANTONIO DA SILVA, BRUCE LA BRUCE showcased their work in the basement’s Sling Room, 1st floor’s Private Cabins, and 2nd floor’s Prison Cabins. There were also films from The Queer Archive’s archive and the world premier of OLYMPE DE G’s “WE ARE THE FUCKING WORLD”.

The venue was open to everyone regardless of gender, sexual agenda and nationality.
